He (David Ellis) might be a nice bloke, but is he a good Chief?

Tomorrow? As in leaving mid-season? That’s a shame.

I was responding to the comment from someone who apparently has never liked him. A person doesn't have to be good at their job to be liked.

Love how everything negative has to be in absolutes these days. Everything is the worst, dreadful, free fall, failure, all dead wood etc

I get that after the last few seasons people are a bit sensitive to a poor performance and worry that we’re not going to put a good one in until the end of the season but it’s how everything is so utterly absolute the whole time that’s wearing.

Personally I don’t think a huge amount of Dave Ellis, when he’s spoken about things I think he comes across as naive but if anyone thinks his stewardship has been the worst at any club I have some supporters of London Welsh and a few others who’d love to discuss that further.

Sad to see him go but did'nt they let him go when he was at their Academy?

He was in their EPDG rather than academy. He joined us when he was still in school aged 17.

Tigers are wanting a injury signing so fits the bill on that.

Yes one of the biggest stumbling blocks with Walker and Tigers was Tigers wanted him to move to a school closer to Tigers training in Oval park but he wanted to stay at Oakham so left.

Which was odd because Tigers greats like Smith and Moody went to school in oakham.... It was at a time when our Academy was suffering from some very stupid calls.
