In the Luke Wallace thread, I said:
"He’s been a loyal player, for which we should be grateful.
But I agree - he is no longer good enough for the premiership. I never expect to see him in the matchday 23, leaving aside dead rubbers in the premiership cup, for example. Looking at other squads in the league, I struggle to see the situation being different elsewhere."
I then said:
"And yet the suggestion that he is no longer premiership quality gets shot down completely. As I said above, he was a fantastic player for us. But I can’t see him regularly making a match day 23 for any of the teams in the league. That takes nothing away from his previous service."
