Signs for Coventry (not the Wasps variety)

I guess that settles the backlash I received when I said he was no longer premiership quality.

Good luck to him on his new venture.

who he actually plays for?

Given that he has signed for coventry, they're probably a good bet...

Sad let’s hope he finds himself again. Wonder if his brother’s accident has also impacted on him?

I'm surprised London Irish didnt go in for him. He would have been a good addition for them.

You didn’t say no longer.

Totally agree he fell away and wasn’t up to it last 18 months.

Really?

In the Luke Wallace thread, I said:

"He’s been a loyal player, for which we should be grateful.

But I agree - he is no longer good enough for the premiership. I never expect to see him in the matchday 23, leaving aside dead rubbers in the premiership cup, for example. Looking at other squads in the league, I struggle to see the situation being different elsewhere."

I then said:

"And yet the suggestion that he is no longer premiership quality gets shot down completely.  As I said above, he was a fantastic player for us. But I can’t see him regularly making a match day 23 for any of the teams in the league.  That takes nothing away from his previous service."

Why let facts get in the way eh

He is 100% premiership quality. Cliche but true... form is temporary and class is permanent. Even allowing for injury he's not been afforded the opportunities over the past year or so.

If he can put a good season in he'll be back in the premiership in absolutely no time whatsoever.

He was a very good player, he wasn't so good since coming back from injury, but that could easily have risky finished his career. Personally I hope he finds some form and makes his way back into the premiership.

Then it wasn’t you.

I dont care at all that Wallace went, he wasn’t up to it post injury sadly for him.

But someone suggested he was always shite which is clearly nonsense.

When he was good, he was really good, but even pre-injury there were some questions about his positional play; post-injury he never looked like the player he was in his prime. A spell with Cov might do him a lot of good - give him a chance to get back to full fitness, and back into the form he used to have. Either way, from a Quins perspective we have many better alternatives now, so for the club this is the right move. Hope he does well.
