Don’t want to put it fully down to this.. but I feel it’s down to a newer fan base. I as a Quins supporter for a good many years love to see our fan base growing, but at the same time as it grows I feel rugby’s values aren’t understood and appreciated, and thus a small minority treat it like a football game. Not that booing, hissing, cussing should be allowed at any sporting event, but feel it’s coming from a football culture.

Was there also some handbags between Yarde and our very own Marler?

Mrfromage is right, some guys sat one row back and few seats up from us did this, in second half,  Along with some footbal style chants all game.  They stopped all when i pointed out that we respect opposition players, that we don't do that sort of thing at rugby and i for one don't want it to become football.

I would have spoken to a steward if i could have seen one at the stairs by our seats, but didn't see one there.  The whole of a group was angry with them.

Currently considering reporrting to club as noted the seat numbers because what they did had made me so angry.

Didn`t seem like a forward pass to me from where I sat in the East Stand and I was happy to applaud it. Booing from some around me, don`t understand the attitude myself.

Marlande always gave his all for quins so any abuse is completely unacceptable

A few in the west boo'd the forward pass not the player, didn't hear any thing else aimed at him.

The booing seemed to be in the spirit of Yarde being a pantomime villain - knowing leg pulling. Shame that it went to abuse. That is not what Quins (or rugby) is about. The squaring up between Marler and Yarde was good-natured. There were smiles as they enjoyed the moment.

Otherwise, it was great to be back, and what a second half! So different to the last several months!

If a player returns to his old club there is nothing wrong with the pantomime villain stuff but swearing at him is unacceptable, it's that sort of mindset that stopped me from going to football. People that convert from football to rugby need to be educated that there are rivalries but not poisonous hatred. It's what separates the oval ball game from the round ball game.

I heard the booing... let’s hope that’s the last of it!

Some of the sounds of discontent (a mix of booing and "C'mon Ref!") were because at least one, maybe two of the passes that led to the try seemed to be forward to some of us in the East stand. Danny and Robbo certainly thougt so as they were pointing to the replay on the screen before the conversion was taken, asking CM-K to at least have a look at them before allowing the conversion to be taken.

Wasn't there, so can't comment on any abuse. But he clearly didn't celebrate his try. Shame his respect wasn't reciprocated.

I think a lot of the booing was for what appeared to be a clear forward pass for Sales second try, well it was from where I was in the DHL, I do agree however that the abuse that has been reported on here is unwarranted and certainly shouldn't happen.

It was the ref who was being booed for missing the forward pass and refusing to review it.

Did smile at the loud ironic cheer when Yarde got clattered in front of the DHL stand.
