Hope they've got plenty of card readers.
Not sure putting in reader then putting in your pin is going to be much quicker then playing cash.
Granted most will probably have contactless but there may be times when someone may not have enough funds to pay for there order.
I won't be bringing my cards, would be easy to loose then anyone could use it. I don't know how you could proove to your bank it wasn't you that used it!

Thing is, most folks now have contactless, and there's rarely a transaction at the Stoop in the food & drink outlets that is going to be above £30 (even with London prices!).

Get that most have contactless but, I've been behind a father buying food for the family and the cost has been way above £30.
As T-Bone says what happens if the machines go down. I know people in the past have had problems trying to put money on their Quins cards.

What’s wrong with waiting for breaks in play in the east and west stands too? I get sick of getting up and sitting down time after time, often at crucial moments in the game, for some ignorant kn*b who has 0 interest in the game and can’t wait a minute for their next pint/leak.

Maybe because it is easier to implement in the backloading stands!

Not unreasonable to assume or expect there will be 1 per till.
Do you always leave your cards at home in case you lose them?

Hold on I’m very interested in the game but I also like being drunk.

Also - as the dude said - you can’t do it with a stand that loads from the front, you block the view even more with everyone standing still rather than moving.

Will Quins be using cash for the cup returns or will they need to issue a refund back to a card?

£30+ = two taps. It’s not rocket science. And tapping using your phone has a maximum of £100.

Well done to the club for trying to improve the match day experience. Mystified that so many think trying stuff can’t improve it.

Just one point - you presumably don’t mean that if a single transaction is over £30 you can tap twice to pay it? That’s not how it works.

Yes it is. Done it loads of times.

It's not hard to put Apple/Google Pay on your phone either, is it? Increases max to £100 and leave all cards at home. It's all I do. Also tap on buses/trains etc.

I wasn't previously aware that with Google pay the max transaction amount was greater than £30 so thanks for pointing that out.
Although it appears that the max may depend on the bank and also the merchant.
Nationwide say there isn't a limit, but some merchants only accept £30 in line with contactless payments, Barclays have a max £100.

I would think it's easier for the club in that case to use coins. Refunding to a card would take longer than simply handing over a coin. One of the issues with cash in the bars is that the drinks aren't all in prices rounded to a pound. If they were, giving change would be easy & they'd only have to have pound coins in the till. As it is, the bar will have to have alll sorts of change available, depending on what price the round came to, what combinations and denomination of notes & coins the customer paid in.

£30+ = two taps. It’s not rocket science. And tapping using your phone has a maximum of £100.

Not according to my bank, you can't. The limit is fixed as "per transaction" so the till should not accept the same card tapped twice.
