It was a shame we couldn't nick that one but although it was a decent A team we looked a bit limited in the lock department. Good to see Big Josh back in the front row.

Chis at fly half, and taking the kicks? Interesting.

Nice to see Charlie Walker having an impact.

I hope that Chis gets more time at FH.
He could be a good option and may find his place in the team.
I think he is a good winger - but, he is no Nathan Earle.
He is good at FB - but behind Brown and probably Morris in the pecking order.
He has been played at centre - but we have better options.
But, he has pace and is strong.  I like to see him in the side.
His kicking game is good.  He is a powerful kicker from the hand and from what I have seen, his kicking from the tee looks okay.

Lang looks good - but has had a few injury issues in games.  I think he needs to work a little bit on his tackle technique.  I sit in the South Stand - so I couldn't see how he got k/o-ed on Friday.
Smith blows hot and cold.  He needs more experience.  His kicking from the tee is average.  On Friday night, I though he was poor.  His decision making regarding when to kick/pass/run seemed to be limited to always kick.  When he passed, he passed to a Chief's player.
I like the idea of a Cat type kicker.  But, that was a bad injury.  I wonder if he will ever get back to his Montpellier level.

We are short of further FH options.  We used a guest from the army on occasion this season.  But, He struggled with the physicality - so probably not an option.
I don't think there are any in the academy.

So, basically, I am hoping that the Chis/FH experiment works.  I am sure that placekicking will improve with lots of practice.

I would be very surprised to ever see Chisholm play FH in the first team.  He only moved there during the a league when the army guy got injured.  I think it is more a case that there is no one else.  Its more likely that if we hit a disaster scenario, Tapuai would step in as he has played there before.

That maybe so, but given game time, we may find that he really fits into the role.
There are opportunities this season with the a-league, prem cup and challenge cups. Best to give him the chance in some of these competitions.
Either way, he probably wouldn't have done any worse than Smith did on Friday night.
