“There will be big shoes to fill next season, but we are looking forward to seeing how the talent we have in our outside backs step up to the challenge. It’s an exciting time to be with Harlequins and we hope we can finish the season on a high to give Mike a fitting send-off.”
Interesting - it would appear that they are looking at an internal replacement...
Green? It follows the pattern of a colour playing at FB...
Well pleased he is going to Falcons and Deano rather than anywhere else. Announcement tonight I think.sad but wish him luck in the future
Had to happen one day I suppose. So does that mean that our next Fullback will be called Blue, after Green, or do we need a red first?

I still think we will bring someone in who can play there. One thing is for sure, with Brown, Baldwin, Young, Lang and Ashton gone (plus I expect a couple more) we have certainly freed up some cash.

We had a Reddish for twenty minutes or so, but not at full back...
That's a great shame. One of my all time favourite Quins. He's matured and calmed down slightly over the years, no longer deserving of the ASBO label of old.
Bittersweet moment. He has been one our all-time greats and my favourite Quin so don’t want him to leave but cannot begrudge him anything that is the best choice for his future.
Marler situ is a very bad look. Is there someone in the club with the initials E S?
I'm assuming that IAB = is a ****
Ed Spokes is head of recruitment - may well be him
I'm pretty sure the players would have known for a while ......esp considering everyone else has!!!!
I was hoping this news never came, MB was one of the players I admired the most, but if he sees that his future is better in Newcastle I can only wish him the best for him and his family, even if a small piece of the Harlequins it goes away forever.
Apparently daily mail interview at 10pm today explaining why he is "reluctantly" leaving
