Will Evans to Quins from the Tigers
« on: Monday 17-Dec-2018, 16:17* »
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/article-6499931/THE-GAIN-LINE-Newcastle-desperate-earn-European-glory.html

At the bottom of the article, Nik Simon suggests Quins are in the market for Will Evans the openside.

Should be a good signing, but doesn't bode well for Luke Wallace.

I saw him play for England U20s a couple of seasons ago. He looked very good a real nuisance around the breakdown.

Would be well worth having. It might mean that Wallace is leaving, or it might mean that Robshaw is planning to retire after the RWC and we are planning for a replacement.

Well the last openside we nabbed from Leicester turned out to be an excellent piece of business, so bring on the next!

The Mail article with Robbo said he's got a year & a half left on his contract, after which he may consider a time abroad for his last playing contract. That suggests to me he's with us to the end of 2019-20 season.

Wallace has no chance of getting a new contract so makes sense to look for a 7
