It's not behind a paywall, but you need to either select to accept all cookies or disable them before you can get to the article, etc...

Doesn't seem that upset reading the article, just a standard comment of "I feel I'm playing well and would love to have a shot at the international game but Eddie is Eddie....."

Maybe he thought the move to Quins and playing regularly would do the trick for International recognition and so far it hasn't worked.
