New Coaches At Quins
« on: Wednesday 29-Aug-2018, 18:49* »
Following a successful trial last season Harlequins has appointed Zeelo as its Domestic Matchday Travel Provider, for home and away matches in the 2018/19 season and we are delighted to let you know that travel is free for Saturday’s match against Sale Sharks.

Zeelo is an on-demand service offering supporters a direct ride to all competitive home fixtures in an executive coach, from a number of convenient locations along four designated routes. Each pick-up point has been selected to offer parking for those who want to use it as a park and ride option.

Tunbridge Wells? Way to cater to your core support...

How is it a park and ride service if none of the pickup points are within 30 miles of the ground? Had assumed these would be in the surrounding areas...

Still, I'm sure 3 people from Aldershot will be happy.

It's a great resource, but not unexpected that it is somewhat limited. Nothing even close to anywhere I could use it.

Presumably they've gone for places where rail replacement buses are likely to put people off from coming, whereas people who live a bit closer on the SW trains line can probably find a relatively hassle free alternative route

I had a look, seems to want a code for discounts or charge me a fortune!

Those were the same routes operated last year when we clashed with Twickenham event days if I remember rightly so they must've had decent demand. The Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks areas have a surprisingly large amount of Quins supporters and if it makes it easier for them to attend I don't see why not.

If you look at the release on the Offy, this is the relevant section:

Quote
Supporters will be able to book seats through Zeelo’s mobile friendly website with tickets sent by email along with a link to track their coach and driver on matchday. Supporters using the code QUINS at checkout will be able to travel to Saturday’s home match against Sale Sharks (kick-off 15:00) for free, while season travel pass options offer average savings of 30% per game.

May use this from Farnborough every now and then, now that we have the option of driving me and my car load or coach it now! A good few Harlequins supporters I know of around my area!

From the QUINSSA email today

Quote from: QUINSSA
Coaches to Away Fixtures
In an effort to boost away support for the team, the club in conjunction with Zeelo will be providing coach travel options to away matches this season. Quinssa were consulted and have agreed to support this initiative. We will not be running away coaches ourselves.

You may have seen the email from Harlequins this week regarding their collaboration with Zeelo,  If not, check out their website: Zeelo Quins travel for information on travel to home games, the various pick up points, and shortly coaches to away games.

*Urgent Request*
Zeelo are currently trying to gauge the popularity of running a coach to Northampton Saints next Friday evening.  If anyone going to the game is interested in going via coach, please can you email lou@quinssa.org.uk as soon as possible (no later than Monday morning) so that we can pass on possible numbers to Zeelo on Monday.  We currently have no details of timings, pick up points, or costs to pass on.
