If it's true, I think it's a step down for the club, Adidas are a global brand, until sarries joined castore I didn't know who they were.

You're joking?! Adidas have churned out some absolute garbage kits for us and their leisure wear is mainly made of dirt cheap wafer thin polyester etc. Huge, global reach, yes...but apart from one or two kits they've been largely awful, designs and quality.

I miss the days of O'Neills when their leisurewear range was actually well made and had some weight to it.

Castore, as a relatively new and smaller company, pitching themselves at the premium end of the sportswear market, I would expect to produce some good quality clothing. Don't mind their designs either so keen to see what they come up with kit-wise too.

Well if you look on the Sarries shop doesn’t seem to be a great deal, just training and usual home /away shirts
We would probably still have the sub standard polos etc from the Far East

Like it or not Adidas is a premium brand associated with the best performance of sporting teams globally, Castore, nothing!

You might not like the quality of the product, doesn't mean the brand association doesn't have real value.  Sport is business, business is sport.

Castore IS a commercial step down from Adidas, fact.

That's was to Quincey Jones, my quote didn't work for some reason.

If they're paying us more, it's a step up. If they're not, I agree it's a step down. Regardless of brand association, unless it helps the bottom line.

However, my comment was meant more in relation to quality of output. Not the size of the brand.

I thought only Sports Direct in Liverpool had an “Evening Wear” section.

For those of us who don’t care so much what brand we wear but do mind about the quality, sizing and appearance of the clothes this should be good news!

(I feel dirty for doing this)
I went over to the dark side's online shop to see what was on offer.

Basically it looks as though the Castore offerings are only for replica/training kit and misc stuff like team polo shirts/t-shirts/hoodies.
The other leisurewear looks as though it comes from a different supplier.
(Pretty much like our stuff - but unlike the o'Neills days)

Baseball caps should have no "footprint" in rugby grounds - ghastly things (hides behind large tree awaiting incoming invective)

Ah, but they are very useful when sat, say, in Block AD in the East Stand looking towards the South Stand on a sunny afternoon!

equally useful if you wear glasses and for some reason the folks behind you object when you put a full size umbrella up!
