New path from the station to the stoop
« on: Thursday 16-Aug-2018, 09:34* »
Do any Twickenham residents (or anyone else) know when the path along the river from the station towards the stoop will be opening?

Do you know anything more relating to the legal problems that have delayed the opening for so long?

Hurrah! At long last. Mind you, it'll feel wrong not walking along Court Way on the way to the Stoop & back along Craneford Way on the way back after a game.

Is there any article confirming that the new path is going to open on August 20th? Or does it say it on the entrance gate to the path?

I don't know what the legal issues were.  From reading the signs, it suggested that the path overlooked peoples properties - so , I can understand why the residents were not happy.

@WellingQuin - the date is mentioned on many twitter feeds - some looked fairly official.  There is a poll going on to decide the name.  I voted for Craney McLaney.

Well those people should have looked at the plans before buying their bloody flats.

Maybe if we put some leaflets out to say that as part of the Clubs development plans , Quins are hoping to run boats along the Crane from Twickenham Station to behind the West Stand  ... perhaps suggest it will be something like a Rugby Themed 'Its a small world' .. they'll be grateful if only a couple of folk look over their back fence instead of that.

I don't think its the flats - more likely the existing houses on the route

The river behind The West Stand is not the Crane.

Facts again huh....no indeed, it's the Duke of Northumberland's River and it'll take you next past Big Stoop then through Isleworth and back into the Thames past Syon House
