Sale has just signed Akker van Der Mere the little warthog hooker. Every other team seems to be making noises, but Quins are silent. Very strange.
We tend to time announcing our bigger name signings with membership renewals.

I think there was something mentioned about not wanting to announce players coming in and upsetting the momentum Quins have picked up.
I do find that a bit strange thoug, its not as though the players have no idea what is happening

Although I don't think he explicitly mentioned momentum, just keeping focus on the now, not the next.
Gustard has said:
1. new signings make zero difference to this season so be patient and let's focus on this season for now. They will be announced in due course.
2. a number of the new players have international ambitious for the current internationals and the world cup. some are concerned that an announcement may affect their prospects. Out of respect for the players, nothing will be announced if it can affect their international ambitious.

It would make good marketing sense to do if that way, although with the way the season so far I would hope renewal is high without the need to announce new signings to boost it. It will be interesting to see how many of the rugby papers predictions do come in. Talking to some Sarries supporters they think Kpoku is on his way to Quins.

Akker is a fine player. Very handy.
I do hope we get Snyman.
If it is true, Joel Kpoku would be an excellent addition to the squad. With Gussey being ex Saracens I can see him whispering in Kpokus ear telling him that he will get a lot of game time in the Premiership.
RG Snyman and Kpoku would be an amazing partnership. It's not as if symonds is not playing well, but it could give us great depth in the locks. Especially with the Dominator also able to play there.
