I know others have said it but if the Quins social media hype ends up being just news that players we should keep if we're ambitious and Gustard's regime is as good as is rumoured...it's going to get rather underwhelming very quickly.

I'd say today would mark that point if it's yet another contract renewal.

I agree. I'm fed up with all this good news about resignings. I want to be told about the signing of a new player who I can immediately have a go at about how he'll be missing for internationals, or has an injury record, or isn't as good as a player that we've just released.

There's too much good news around at the moment. Come on Quins, give us something to gripe about!

To clarify, I’m very pleased about the guys resigning, just think the social media driven fanfare is a bit much. Did like the Danny Cae highlights video though, I will admit.

Yeah look, just to say this isn't general grumpiness, and I'm not nearly as old as the posters on here who hate social media hype regardless.

It's just banging the hell out of PR for a week on players we already have signing new contracts is going to be overkill unless it builds to something bigger...

The James Lang announcement is a prime example. I'm delighted, think he's great -- but I wasn't waiting with any degree of anxiousness to find out if he'd re-signed and would have probably just shrugged and moved on if he hadn't.
