Forecast team v Glasgow

Yes - he is running well. I spoke to him before the Bath match... he reckoned on 2-3 weeks. But, that is still good news.

Morning Quins fans. Looking forward to coming down for this one - I've been to the big ground over the road a couple of times with Scotland, but this will be my first time at the Stoop (I think it's the first time we've played each other competitively).

On paper this should be an absolutely cracking game between two teams that are well matched and play the game in an exciting way... so no doubt it will turn into a scrum-fest! At least Zander Fagerson and Joe Marler would enjoy that!

Afraid that Huw Jones will miss the trip back / he's just had surgery on his hand. Tuipolotu too is touch and go at best, so that's Scotland's first choice centres out - but the mark of this team under Franco Smith has been the Leinster-like ability to rotate without significant drop-offs, and Stafford McDowall has been outstanding this year at both 12 and 13 (he has played every minute of our URC campaign). Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting our squad is at the level of Leinster's, but there's never any fear about bringing someone in.

I imagine Danny Wilson will be especially keen to win this one - he didn't have a great time at either Scotland or Glasgow; he was sacked from Glasgow after finishing 8th in the URC and shipping over 70 points to Leinster in the QF... still, it allowed us to get to the Challenge Cup final last year instead of the usual early exit from the Champions Cup, which was fun!

No idea what to make of your recent form... it looks wild!

Anyway, looking forward to it, and to talking to some of you before/after. There will probably be a fair few of us at the Cabbage Patch.

That is a shame to hear about Huw. I was looking forward to seeing him play here again. He was very good for us in the games when Andre wasn't available.
The weather may have an impact on this game.
Although it ls likely to be mild and may be dry, it may be a bit windy. So this may play a part.

Hope you enjoy for thrip to The Stoop. It is normally quite raucous for Friday evening games - although, quite unusually, it isn't actually a sell-out.

I'm not too sad to see Jones out of the match, after we very kindly turned him back into a superb player for Scotland and Glasgow.

As I remember he came to us woefully out of form and was a disastrous replacement while marchant was first away in NZ, and the fear was that he might have been phoning it in for Quins like a similarly renowned celtic international centre - but he turned it around and when Joe came back huw covered full back and turned out to be a fantastic signing in the end.

Funny you should say that - when he came down to you from Glasgow he had spent a whole season playing fullback! So perhaps no surprise he looked more comfortable there.

I think that's a pretty harsh assessment. He did spend his first few games running away from his support, but that's as much on the rest of the squad as on him. Once the squad tuned in to the idea that he could make a line break on most of his carries, he fitted in really nicely.

I wish we could have kept him. He suits the Quins style and his versatility was very handy.
