I played on it last August in cloudy but dry weather and loved it. Very strange but satisfying feel to it, has a firm but sponge like bounce on foot and to my memory not one of our match day 23 suffered any burn related injury (we had one South African in our squad also 😂 ).
My guess is though maybe that’s different in wet or slippery weather conditions, as normally on grass you’d take some of the mud and grass with you on collision with the turf but with plastic grass and no mud obviously there’s not much to give so instead your skin must give and hence burn? I’m guessing.
Really enjoyed it. I would pick it over our teams amateur pitch and the other amateur pitches any day but having played at The Stoop and Twickenham I prefer the professional grass pitch over the 4G plastic pitch.
I bet they save a good bit of cash not having to get the groundman out on the mower tending the grasses!
