I have a simple spreadsheet here
You see that for May/June there's a running total even though there are no values for those months.
How do I suppress the running totals to not show if the month value is blank?
But I want the formula to be there ready for when the month value is entered.
(Don't worry this does have application to the messageboard)
I'm fairly handy with Google sheets. I will take a look in the morning
Try changing cell C3 to be =if(isblank(b3),,B3+C2)
Then just copy down
Running Total
=if(ISBLANK(B2),,B2)
=if(ISBLANK(B3),,B3+C2)
=if(ISBLANK(B4),,B4+C3)
=if(ISBLANK(B5),,B5+C4)
=if(ISBLANK(B6),,B6+C5)
=if(ISBLANK(B7),,B7+C6)
=if(ISBLANK(B8),,B8+C7)
=if(ISBLANK(B9),,B9+C8)
=if(ISBLANK(B10),,B10+C9)
=if(ISBLANK(B11),,B11+C10)
=if(ISBLANK(B12),,B12+C11)
=if(ISBLANK(B13),,B13+C12)
What'd he say?
he said if a certain cell is blank then leave this one blank otherwise take the value from that cell and add the value from another cell and publish it in this cell
Mornington Crescent!
Naah, you were in Nid so you've got to unblock the laterals first!
wash them on a 40degree cycle
