Utterly mindless from Cipriani. I thought after working so hard to get back into the squad and EJ finally giving him a chance that he may have kicked the off field stupidity for good after a quiet couple of years at Pests. Wasted talent.

Can’t imagine it was any more than handbags - but Jones has to drop him regardless. If Solomona goes for drinking, no room for manoeuvre.

You don’t get charged with Assaukt resisting arrest and assault on police then remanded in custody for handbags

You specifically do get charged with all those things if you physically interact with a bouncer in any way and they tell police that's what happened. And if you touch a copper in any way while they're arresting you, you get charged with assault on police as well as resisting arrest.

And if the cops thought he'd been an idiot (he reportedly told them to loosen the cuffs because "these wrists are gold"), they'd stick him in the cells for a night.

He had a scuffle with a bouncer who wouldn't let him take a drink out of a club.

I'd call that handbags.

It's clearly very stupid and not what you want from an England player these days but he's been charged with pretty much what I'd expect for that situation.

He has been kept in custody because he does not live in Jersey. It's a normal thing for them to do.

The Mail was reporting it all started because a bouncer wouldn't let him take his drink outside the club. The question I always wonder is "where were his friends?". Someone should have stepped in, reminded him what might be at stake and dragged him away.

Well quite. I mean he should know better at his age, and given his past.....

Also he's with a new club - so maybe no one knew he was getting lairy.

I get it may have been handbaggish but "common assault, larceny, assault on police, resisting arrest and disorderly on licensed premises." I mean he may just have taken the bouncer's earpiece and spat at the copper, but how silly can you get?

Still an idiot in my book.  Don't put yourself in situations that can turn out like this.

The most serious crime in Jersey is "Blackmail".  So he should get off with community service - T & C applies assuming he's guilty and without prejudicing the aforementioned charges!

Pleaded guilty after a 13 minute hearing. £2,000 fine and £250 compensation to the officer.

Idiot don't see how EJ can have him in the squad now and if Cips can't see this then he is even dafter than I thought.

Let's hope that Gloucester take the same approach with their DC as Quins did with our DC:
