Congrats on the name change, too, or should be directed at DOK? :)

Lang at 15 is a project I'd like to see us try. Will need to stick at it for a while to see if it works out though - FB takes a lot of learning. Positioning and reading the game from the back field is not something you pick up overnight. He has the attributes for me - very good all round game.

Herron, no. He's looked really exposed there when he's had to fill in this season. Doesn't have the pace or strength for me. Keep him as a 10/12 off the bench for now. Replacement 15 as a last resort.

Some of our more sicknote-y players might really benefit from this enforced break.

This guy is our next full-back

We just neext Brown (and/or Ashton) to do a proper handover.

Exactly my thoughts.

Lynagh is definitely a prospect but I don’t think he’s likely to be ready in the next season or two, hence why I’d like us to have a look at Lang.

Always thought Tom was underrated. A fantastic athlete for his size and a superb player. I'm not at all biased either, even though we played at for the same club... :)

I was searching for a rugby paper article the other day and randomly one of the google results was an interview with Tom Guest "my life in rugby". Decent read and interesting that he said that he should really have moved on sooner in his career to get regular starts, and if Deano hadn't left he probably would have gone sooner, as he didn't think he really featured in Richards' plans at all, but he was ultimately glad he stayed as he got to play a part in the Premiership campaign

Reinach would be my dream choice at 9, but obviously he’s off to Montpellier and it’s unlikely he would have left Saints for us.

I also really like John Cooney but he wouldn’t leave Ulster while he’s in the mix for Ireland.

Sonatane Takulua would have been another good signing with experience of the Premiership, but he’s off to Toulon.

The low value of the Rand and relaxed selection policies mean that SA is the best hunting ground. Herschel Jantjies would be a great signing for us, or as a wildcard, I quite liked the look of Embrose Papier when he was on loan at Sale earlier in the season. At 22, he’d be an ideal guy to develop behind Care.

Mixed reaction to Embrose. I seem to remember he was a little flaky at times.

It's only just occurred to me that the Robshaws aren't going to get another match in a Quins shirt, or the send-off they deserve! That's a damn shame! Given the situation is worldwide, could he be tempted to stay with us for whenever the new season starts?!

Also: Sinks is now finished at Quins, although I think he mentally checked out last September anyway!

Yeah - definitely not the finished article, but looks like he has a lot of the right ingredients and could learn from Care.

I doubt we’ll be after him anyway so it’s a bit of a moot point.

If we were looking for a 9, Queensland Reds have 2 very good youngsters McDermott and Sorovi. 21 and 24 respectivley. I think Sorovi has just signed a new deal.  At some point the both would, I expect want to be first choice.

Oh I didn't know Tom Guest liked Bingo too?

You probably don't get to hear much down at your Darby and Joan club 😁

Lang is a 10 or 12 for me. Or a 13 at a push.

To me someone like Joe Marchant would make an excellent fullback. He is super quick, evasive, good under the high ball and has a big boot on him.

The Blues have played him at 14. So he is adaptable.

15 Marchant 14 Murley 13 Goneva 12 Esterhauzen 11 Gabs 10 Smith 9 Care

Goneva at 13? Goneva in a starting lineup???

Great player in his prime, but sadly past his best when it came to joining us.
