Out of contract
« on: Saturday 23-Mar-2019, 07:53* »
Morning all
I'm sure it's been documented b4 but can someone compile a list of the players who are out of contract/likely to be leaving at the end of the season....
Many thanks in advance

There will be plenty going just not announced yet.  I reckon anything up to 17/18 could be in danger

Also, I think the incomings are done now tbh. I personally don't expect to see any more coming in - so the third on that list who are just rumoured in and not confirmed I would say are not coming.

Gussy's quality over quantity approach is going to take 2/3 seasons because of the contracts he's inherited. He can't just get rid of everyone he wants to in one go - he's forced to wait for their contracts to expire. So I reckon we'll see a similar sized squad (maybe slightly smaller) next season and then we can really start to call it "his" squad at the end of next season. Not that that's an excuse or anything - just the reality of player contracting.

I still think we may get one or two more on depending if some of those who are contracted leave.

There's some info here

That all looks remarkably vague to me.

There must be a list somewhere with actual dates on, Shirley?

They very rarely announce contract lengths now. I'm now sure why as I'm sure other clubs and agents sniffing around will now when they can start talking to someone, so it's only really the fans who are in the dark
