The flip side to that accusation is that this is exactly what the NHS have been advising parents to do.

In my case, my daughter had a the sniffles and a new cough one morning. To me it was clearly a cold but I checked the best course of action on the 111 site.

I was called by a doctor and told them I thought my daughter had a cold. We were all sent to get tests.

Good to hear that you’re all negative.

I would hope that the reason you were advised to test was because of the cough, as a runny nose isn’t a known symptom of COVID - that said the main symptom is not having any symptoms at all.

Yareet - all negative?
I've always found his comments to be fairly balanced  ;)

In France they have already put half of the country in the red zone, and clearly this thing also has repercussions on sport, for example Leicester has passed the round against Castres because 3 players tested positive for the covid.
Next Saturday there are two French teams, Racing 92 and Toulouse, in the 2 Champions Cup semi-finals.
Hearing today that every member of the Castres group (players and non-players) that would have travelled to Leicester are all negative, but a couple of the non-travellers tested positive, but I guess you can’t be too careful.  Apparently the Castres management are not too happy.

What are the thoughts on player testing for Covid, I believe it is a twice weekly test for all players and close contact staff across all premiership clubs.

I know these are done privately but surely the resources could and should be used for testing the NHS workers, care home staff ect ect

Is rugby really more important than the average citizen?

Who needs testing anyway?

I'm sorry but it's a joke, covid19 is only dangerous to those over 70 or with underlying medical conditions, why are we as a nation penalising the 99% because the 1% are at risk.
The media are having a field day with scare mongering and people are getting whipped up into he's hestiria for little reason.

*This post is a joke!*
(but so was the original comment  ;))

With Stephan Lewies hitting the inhaler hard after his try the other day, I did find myself wondering if he's technically in the clinically vulnerable category (flu jab for asthma sufferers).

Loads of rugby players use inhalers for asthma (I'm one of them) but the advice for asthmatics was tweaked to only the most severe sufferers being in the C19 at risk group.

I think that's very unfair of you to quote SwindonQuin like that. He later in the same thread posted this:

On this is post I commented on) started, I'm human enough to admit I was wrong.

I was rather arragant at the time to Covid 19 and the effect on many tens of thousands of people.

There's not more that I can say than that I was wrong on my comments.

For those who have l lost I apologize for any upset my comments may have made. A lesson learnt.

I know, sorry. I took tips from Sale Sharks' social media.

It was just a joke!

My wife is a nurse, she has been tested a total of...........0 times.  She has no issue with it.  The gear she has to wear for work, she would probably be safe in Chernobyl!!
Has she at anytime shown symptoms ? No , then she doesn’t need test , simples

There is certainly something simple about your post but I'm not quite sure it is what you think.
