Pre-match Options - Whitton
« on: Thursday 22-Nov-2018, 10:08* »
Can anyone recommend any pubs, or ideally a restaurant, in Whitton for a few pre-match drinks and some food for Friday nights?

I’ve been coming to The Stoop for 20 odd years and normally stop off in Church Street, East Twickenham or Richmond but I’m looking for an alternative and I’ve never been to Whitton!

All ideas welcome!

Duke of Cambridge, by Kneller Hall used to be good but I haven't been there for years. It's quite small.

The Nelson's a decent Fuller's pub.

Greedy's (diagonally opposite the Nelson) is a good option for a curry.  Other pubs in the area are the Prince Albert (which I haven't been to for ages, but was okay), or these two pubs which are sort of on the way between the Stoop and Whitton -  White Hart Inn (which has a huge outdoor area) and Duke of Cambridge (opposite Kneller Hall).

If you fancy a curry, the Spice of India (halfway up the high street) and Jolly's (diagonally opposite the Nelson) are both pretty good. If you want Italian, Cafe Venice also gets good reviews and there's also Mosaico up towards the station. Or if you just want to go for a good old fashioned burger/kebab/fry-up, you can't go wrong with the Golden Grill!

Cheers - I didn’t realise there were so many options!
