At Northampton for the third year in a row, i wonder why. I seem to remember a time when it was played at a different ground each year.

At Northampton for the third year in a row, i wonder why. I seem to remember a time when it was played at a different ground each year.

It started out as spread out over 4 weeks, with 3 "regional" heats, and a finals night, all on Friday evenings. We hosted one of the heats or the final for the first few years. The Welsh sides took part for a few years too, having their heat at the Arms Park. When they dropped out, I think the Prem clubs thought they could get more fans to attend if they did it as two-session event at a single location rather than spread out around the country.

I'd like to see it moved around the country now. Most clubs now have their own stadium, so it would be nice to have it one year in Newcastle, the following year in Leicester, then Exeter, etc. That way more fans in the various locations would have a chance to see it,
