Wales always want the roof closed because it improves the atmosphere for them .. that's why most visiting teams want it left open just to irritate them .

in Nov 2014 When Australia did want it shut , they decided it was better left open so they could play in the wind and rain and prepare for the 2015 World Cup in NZ .

Wales have requested a closed roof direct to 6N Committee which overrules the usual protocol

In respect to St Patrick's Day and my love of Guinness , I think Ill support Ireland this weekend .

Weather always has, and always should be in my opinion, a major part of the game of rugby. Leave the roof open.

We invented Rugby as a game to be played in the open air.

If you want a game that is played in a cupboard, then invent your own game.

Should always be open in my opinion unless the weather is so atrocious that it has to be done on safety grounds.

I never get the roof closed thing. Rugby as others have said is an outdoor winter sport. It is meant to be played in the wind and the rain. The Welsh are just being silly about it. I'm definitely hoping Ireland win, supporting would be a bit too far......

Looking at my ancestry, I am
8/16ths Welsh
7/16ths English
1/16th Irish

So, I will support Ireland until 5pm, then switch allegiance to England.
But, I will still drink Guinness
