My memory (which may be wrong) was that they planned to keep the front loading aspect of the stadium since it engenders a more engaged feeling amongst supporters. Shame if they lose that in my opinion.

As long as they have more than 3 available wheelchair spaces above ground level then I guess they can keep the front-loading but I won't be sitting on the front row. I hate to imagine how many hours of rugby I've missed behind people's heads who are late to their seats or wobbling off to get the next round in (and then again when they bring it back). Personally prefer back-loading because the front row tends to be the easy option in terms of "where to bung the wheelchairs". If there is accessible seating further up then although it won't (hopefully) be me, there will still be other people missing 5% of the season...

I've sat in the first row of seats and it is annoying people going back and fourth. Maybe they will build it so the first row of seats are higher up.

They guaranteed it would be front loading as far as I remember

I've just remembered something else. Dave Ellis said that "they" had had a brainstorm over the summer - not sure if "they" is the board, or Ellis' management team, or Gustard. The result of the brainstorm is that the number one priority for the club is (now) the best performance possible from the team on the pitch.

Nice to hear. But disturbing if it wasn't the case before!

Completely agree. Ellis didn't say what it replaced, but I guess it's connected with the arrival of Gustard.

Bothof those things should be accommodated - the needs of those in wheelchairs should be addressed properly and sufficient higher level easy access places should be made available , as well as pitchside if required.

I also think it is important for frontal access to the stands , not necessarily for that fact alone , but having the concourse and connection to the pitch / players is an important part of the 'rugby club' feel .

I was at one of the supporter forums where that very point was made and Levi Harris and his team accepted that both of those items were important .

Original press release on hockey pitch mentioned a "drop-in" pitch - would fit with the comment on doing while relying main pitch, so should accommodate the wetting of the "mat" mentioned above...

My thought as well, but it is good to see it confirmed. In the past, the club seems to have had a broad focus, but if this is the #1 priority, then that will hopefully be where all the investment will go until the stadium plans are more advanced. After that, it should still be #1, but the stadium redevelopment will likely take up a lot of attention.

The Hockey astro would need to cover the playing area - the only worry is  covering the grass  at peak growing / recovery period. But I am sure the groundsman has forgotten  more about such things than I will ever know - so I assume they are confident the grass will be OK for the season.
