3pm on a Saturday!

Good. More revenue for the Club.

I’d be willing to bet that whilst it is more revenue, it is actually less profit as I’m sure stadium costs / staffing etc will exceed the revenue for the event

It's investment for the future though. Growing the game. I have no desire to schlepp all the way down to Guildford to watch the ladies play, but at the Stoop? Bring it on!

I think Quins were looking at the bigger picture re the ladies game.  Outlay now (Although I still do not think it is breaking the bank, players are not FT) and watch the game grow.  Sponsor deals, tv deals, increasing crowd sizes.  Not just rugby now, Cricket, Football both going the same way.  Teams like Man Utd, My own side West Ham (and our owners do nothing out of the goodness of their heart, sniff of a profit and they are in) have both launched sides this season

Fair point, although with only part stadium open, less staff so less outlay.

Fewer staff so less outlay.

And what do you think the answer to the sums was? Profit or loss?

90% empty stadium - 50% off Tickets - overheads =

Depends how much of the stadium is open. If it’s only 1 stand and associated facilities the overheads won’t be very much at all. Either way, we’re all guessing.

Bear in mind that only 1 stand out of 4 is open. Full price (pre 50% discount) is £10 / adult and £5 / child. And that members get in free. And that the stand that is open has huge availability

And if the club are happy, what is the issue??

Last season they had about 4.5k for the Richmond game.  Add merchandise and refreshment sales as well as the tickets sold. Less of a cost than an A Leaque game for the club.  As said above, im pretty sure the club would have been well aware of the expected costs for the Womens team.  It has not affected us spending to the cap, has not affected the proposed Stadium redevelopment.  Eventually it would not surprise me if the women played most of their games at the Stoop

I would expect the Prem Clubs  will have given a commitment to the sponsors that there would be a number of games in the stadia to raise the profile - it will also make the womens side feel more valued and inclusive and that should help them with morale and recruitment -  seems sensible to play as many games as possible there .

I am pro Women's Rugby. If we just break even to begin with that's fine by me.
