It was a genuinely euphoric moment, I can't tell you how I felt when Earle went over. I just grabbed my son and we jumped up and down (he is only 6 and was the loudest fan there!) It really was special.

Use It or Lose It, you have described the build up to the try brilliantly, emphasising the skill and determination of the boys throughout the phases.

We had dinner in the Crystal Palace afterwards and I could  barely speak. There were lots of lovely fans (Quins, Bath and, randomly, Exeter) chatting with me about the game but I had lost the power of speech!

I have to put it down as my moment of the season so far, just ahead of Marchant's crazy try after Smith's penalty. Sheer delight!

Of course, but my point was about fighting back - we've been doing it for a couple years so it's not a surprise or unusual. We're a better side now so it resulted in a win.

My point was that most of the time that was against a team that had already won the game and had taken the foot off the gas. This was a live game the entire time.

Also I really don't see how being 8 points behind for all of six minutes is anything like the shellackings we took last year where we scored a few consolation points at the end :)

Psychologically its easier to make a comeback against a side who have taken their foot off the gas.
