I remember my first game in 1996, and this club is miles away from then. We have come miles in 25 years.

Seen Quins win 3 cup finals (at game) and lose one - hated and loved different times - but always a Quin. Travelled 500 miles from Uni for one day and game. Can not wait to take my son and daughter to a game!

Love it!

30+ years for me. I know, I look too young. I also remember us losing to Bath in the cup final at Twickenham to  a Stuart Barnes drop goal in extra time. The days of Skinner, Winterbottom, Langhorn etc, and one stand and a ditch around the pitch. Yes, we've come a long way!

To be "Winterbottomed" became a verb in our house.

I have been watching Quins since I don't know when.

An early game I recall, I saw Quins play Scarlets in the days before leagues when we didn't have The Stoop. It was played a t Twickenham and I remember sitting in the old, wooden, West Stand.

Being born and growing up in Twickenham supporting Quins was the logical choice.

Apparently, according to Admin, this is offensive, so apologies to any that might have heard anything untoward during the commentary...

I can't control what you hear at work, in your home or in the playground. I can control what is posted on this board.

I'd urge everybody to re-read (because of course you have read them at least once) the rules of the forum regarding swearing (top of the left hand menu). If you're finding them unclear then do let me know.

Is this a reference to being "Winterbottomed"?  ;D

I don't get that. Is that some story about PW I haven't heard? (genuine question)

It was an admiration of his tackle technique which was pretty comprehensive. I am ignoring Pen & Inky's obvious reference to a different sort of tackle.

I to was at that final.

Me too, typical Quins performance grasping a loss from the jaws of success.
