Quins shop today - Christmas Eve
« on: Monday 24-Dec-2018, 12:32* »
Turned up at the shop today to get some last minute things only to be told by security guards that it was closed as ‘no one had turned up to open it’. Pretty shambolic I’m sure you’d agree and very disappointing if you’re hoping to get something particular. Tried calling the club but it diverts to voicemail. Website says they are open. Rubbish!

I'm afraid that I have some sympathy for Quins on this one.  There is normally only one person working in the shop - the scale of the operation doesn't warrant any more staff.

You do have a point regarding their phone lines. Over the years it’s got worse. My last couple of calls when I have tried to call either shop or reception keep bouncing back to the switchboard after a minute or so of ringing. Funnily enough they answer straight away when you press the “Hospitality & Sales” option (they value the big money calls more obviously, can’t blame them however is a little salty). I ask them to politely transfer me to the appropriate department as the receptionist/operator doesn’t ever seem to be at reception. They are normally fine about it. Have done this the past 3 calls this year and works every time. Play them at their own game hehe

The webiste hasn't worked properly in the run up to Christmas either. I couldn't login and couldn't re-set my passport until I emailed customer services and got sent a new re-set link a couple of days later. Thankfully I sorted it out early enough. My mother tried to buy a couple of tops online but encountered the same problem so gave up and used another website. Seems rather silly to do work to the shop website in the run up to Christmas. I'm not sure if others had the same problem. Not a disaster, didn't ruin Christmas, just cost the club cash from some shirt sales.
