So I think at this point we can officially regard ourselves as “on track” but one of our real Achilles heel’s last season was poor away form, and we have a number of big away games coming up.

After this weekend, I reckon Saints look vulnerable, but they will be desperate to get a win. If PG can get us an away win then that will give us serious momentum going into a run of very winnable games up until Sarries visit the Stoop.

Never take any notice of pre-season game results - they are generally meaningless when it comes to the real season.

For example - during the 2017/18 pre-season, we beat London Irish.
