Visser in there too. Good to see those guys back for the run-in - whether they feature or not, good to have the depth returning. Hoping Marler and Marchant's injuries weren't severe either.

Great news! I spoke to Rob after one of the games at the end of last season and he said there was no ETA on his return.

I must admit, I feared the worst, so delighted to see he’s firmly on the road to recovery.

Blimey, the 'non Quin's' backs out number the Quins backs. Did'nt realise we were that near to the bone with injuries?

I don’t think we are fandg2. Just with a Friday game this week i guess only players right on the fringe will be risked.

Or not anywhere near the fringe you might say...

Wonderful to see Rob back on a Quins team sheet again. A very pleasant surprise. The flying Dutchman too.

Makes you realise how far down the pecking order Charlie Walker is.

Hadn't even thought of this but he did post on Instagram over the weekend suggesting he was in Hong Kong for the 7s. Anyone know if he's maybe thinking of shifting his focus to 7s now? Would make a lot of sense for him - he'd carve the circuit up.

You still need to be able to tackle in Sevens.......

Yeah, but at least you can blame all your missed tackles on the fact there's more space. As much of a cop-out as that sounds, 7s by its nature does favour the attacker. Can see Charlie excelling on the 7s circuit. You could potentially also make a case that he might be a much better defender in 7s than he is in 15s. In theory, he can use his pace to drift and cover back whereas when he's asked to front up against a big chap in those narrow corridors or make a defensive decision in keeping with a 12-15 man defensive line that's when he seems to struggle. In theory.

I think he has been unfairly treated this season never really given a chance it’s been a case of his face just doesn’t fit

Clearly he’s had a big falllout with Gustard but none of us know the details (or aren’t sharing if they do). But given there was clearly an attitude problem in the squad last year and that seems to have been addressed I’m inclined to give Gustard the benefit of the doubt.

We probably do not know the details.  If he has not been given a fair crack, there must be a reason.

Great to see Rob back. I didn't think he'd play for Quins again. Not saying I thought his career was over, just his Quins one. Does anyone know for sure if he's out of contract?

Good to see Visser back too.
