BT Sport double-header to light up Round 20 of Gallagher Premiership Rugby
Premiership Rugby can confirm a bumper weekend of live Gallagher Premiership Rugby action at the end of April as this compelling campaign draws to a conclusion.
There will be four matches live on BT Sport in Round 20 including a mouth-watering Saturday double-header starting at Sandy Park (2pm) where Harlequins are the visitors, followed at 4.30pm by Wasps hosting champions, Saracens.

Round 20 kicks off at the AJ Bell Stadium with Sale Sharks entertaining Bath Rugby on Friday 26 April and concludes at the home of Worcester Warriors on Sunday 28 April, where Gloucester Rugby make the short trip to Sixways.

The penultimate round of Gallagher Premiership Rugby (Round 21) kicks off at the Twickenham Stoop where Leicester Tigers are the visitors, and on Saturday we see another red-letter day in the campaign as Saracens stage a repeat of the 2018 Premiership final, with Exeter Chiefs travelling to north London.

Round 21 concludes on Sunday 5 May when Bath Rugby entertain Wasps, with a 3pm kick off.

We can also confirm that all matches in Round 22 will kick-off on Saturday 18 May at 4pm.

Round 20:

Friday 26 April:
19:45 – Newcastle Falcons v Northampton Saints, Kingston Park
19:45 – Sale Sharks v Bath Rugby, AJ Bell Stadium – Live on BT Sport

Saturday 27 April:
14:00 – Exeter Chiefs v Harlequins, Sandy Park – Live on BT Sport
15:00 – Leicester Tigers v Bristol Bears, Welford Road
16:30 – Wasps v Saracens, Ricoh Arena – Live on BT Sport

Sunday 28 April:
15:00 – Worcester Warriors v Gloucester Rugby, Sixways – Live on BT Sport

Round 21:

Friday 3 May:
19:45 – Harlequins v Leicester Tigers, Twickenham Stoop – Live on BT Sport
19:45 – Bristol Bears v Sale Sharks, Ashton Gate

Saturday 4 May:
15:00 – Gloucester Rugby v Newcastle Falcons, Kingsholm
15:00 – Northampton Saints v Worcester Warriors, Franklin’s Gardens
15:00 – Saracens v Exeter Chiefs, Allianz Park – Live on BT Sport

Sunday 5 May:
15:00 – Bath Rugby v Wasps, The Rec – Live on BT Sport

So it's confirmed that the last home game is going to be a Friday evening kick-off. Shame, as a Saturday afternoon would allow for a decent end of the home season, but that's what we get for having the Squadies vs Squids game on the 4th of May.

So 7 games over two weekends and only 9 teams shown. Falcons, Saints and Bristol fans must be ecstatic!

Good to have the Tigers game confirmed for the Friday as it avoids a clash with the Army v Navy match.

Bit of a shame for last home game of the season but preferable to being anywhere near the army v navy game

Great another non Saturday afternoon.... 😤
How many is that this season?
I'm getting thoroughly miffed by posting fit tickets for my wife and kids that can't be used. I think this really is the last season I buy 4 ST. It just isn't worth it.

Although I agree with your sentiments, it isn't exactly new, is it?

it has been going on for years.

That's why (well, one of the reasons) I don't buy a season ticket.

In answer to your question - it's 5, across all competitions.

And of the 5 that haven't been a Saturday, 4 have been moved because of HQ clashes so nothing to do with Quins or TV.

Games at the Stoop: 16
Saturday: 11
Not on a Saturday: 5

Breakdown:

Premiership matches: 11
Saturday KO: 7
Not Saturday KO: 4

Silly cup: 2
Not Saturday: 1

Europe: 3
Not Saturday: 0

See above -- 1 game has been moved this year for reasons other than the existence of HQ.

So the club have been good to their word of wanting games on a Saturday.

I think it's also better than we've had in the past in terms of Friday Night games. Heck, a season or two back we had a Thursday night game in the Challenge Cup.

Bluch, I guess your "not saturday" includes this w/e. As far as I'm concerned, a Sunday (even at 1pm) is far less of a pain in the proverbial than a Friday Evening.

Yeah that's just taken off the fixture list so this week included and up to the end of season.

Personally delighted last home game is a Friday night - big blow out and no need to rush home. Whereas Sunday 1pm doesn't work at all. But totally get if you don't happen to live 10 mins from the ground it's a whole different thing.

Sunday at 1 is far from ideal for anyone whose kids play mini or youth rugby.

Bearing in mind where our ground is, why don't we play away games on the Saturdays when there is a game on at HQ?

I don't want Friday evening games. I don't want Sunday games.

Friday evenings are far from ideal for anyone who does not live within a short distance from The Stoop, particularly if they're not in a direct transport line to TW station.

@QQ
Although it sounds a good idea to play away when matches are at the Big Stoop, this only works for the 6N. The AIs run over 4 to 5 Saturdays (if you include the Barbarians game).
But, I think that playing on the same day as an England game affects ticket sales.  Numbers definitely looked down when we played against Wales.  So, maybe the club don't see this as a great option.
