To be serious for a second, Sale did the Sean Long thing with a rugby league coach a while back and it really improved their play. They started running straight far more often and executing overlaps far better.
In the interview beforehand Gabs Ibitoye tells about how he’s actively encouraged to just do his thing. Plotting where Gabes is going is like a game of Battleships! Imagine trying to support him?! If Sean Long is teaching us how to run lines and run straight he needs to work the same days as our backs.
Marcus is the only one that seems to know how to create and exploit space.

Tigers weren’t offside as much but we didn’t get the decisions , again not only observed by Quins fans, so the mindset took effect.

Holy hell if our players are so mentally weak as to throw in the towel when a couple of decisions go against them then they should all give up rugby. That mindset should not be a thing, and I honestly believe it isn't a thing. They had almost free reign with ball in hand against Tigers - a rare opportunity they threw away. Absolutely no way the refereeing decisions impacted them mentally.

We're awful, but things aren't as desperate as our players being toddlers, I don't think.

I wish I could agree with that, but Marler decided he wanted a bath after being pinged in a scrum, Yarde elbow dropped Robshaw like a teenager, followed by Chisholm and Symonds reverting to a knuckle dragging, pre-professional mantra. In the meantime Danny continues to play ‘do you know who I am’ card trying to chat his way out of our 22. It’s hardly a solid foundation for an example of professional temperament is it.

That really was a terrible performance, not many positives to take from it. Hopefully Quins are active in trying to find injury cover for FB as well as centres. Wouldn't blame any of the players for listening to offers. As has been stated previously Quins really need to look at scrum half options for next season.

Yet again the main problem seems to be that we have too many third and fourth choice players, who wouldn't even make the squad for virtually any other Premiership team.
i totally agree!

Smith when he has the ball in his hands, he never knows what to do
Why Ross Chisholm  play necessarily?
Goneva was a strong player but now we don't need him anymore.
Many players are useless

the real problem is the coach. He can be a good defense coach,But  can't manage a team

Basically embarrassing team

Chisholm has to play up to today as only fit 15! Morris now back, but he is probably better for us at 13 at the moment, with injuries. With no Earle - Gabs and Murley are best wingers and you can tell that the injury to Earle and the two retirements effected recruitment - ie tex, Goneva, Ismaiel signing and Swainston resigning.

I honestly think this team is making progress, but will take a while. Will be interesting to see signings and re-signings.

Genuine question - what progress are you seeing? I see minor improvements one minute Then large amounts of mindless amateur play that wipes out any positive gains.

I’m really struggling to see the improvements. We are just becoming more inconsistent under Gustard. The main difference between the JK seasons and now is that under JK at least our England players helped improve results. Now they are a big part of the problem. Sinckler has seemed unmotivated, Marler has his mind on his media career. Likewise DC who narrowly eclipsed Tempest as the worst ref on the pitch last night. Add to this the fact that our 2 stand-out players from last year have barely played/will barely play and it’s hard to see what the game plan is from this coaching team

Honestly seeing a better squad and coaching staff. PG has taken over an ageing squad/expensive players past best and youngsters not ready and then quite a few that were not good enough.

Coaching staff was all old Quins and needed some change.

The other thing I really like is that we are investing in young 10’s. Only team in premiership that is doing this and this takes time to get it right. All our tens must be 25 or younger. Really pleasing.

I think give it a year with the likes of Lang, Lawday, Murley, Gabs, Smith, EE, Earle, Dombrandt, Marchant, Clifford we are going to be good.

Real changing of guard.

I still think injuries are hurting, although that is no excuse for the performance last night.

Guess Worcester fans will be feeling the same as us right now.

So we’re currently 8th on 17 pts level with Bath and Warriors, the clubs below cant overtake us without a BP win.

Next league game Sarries at home. Gulp that’s going to be a hard day but then we always seem to rise to that occasion.

Lets forget Europe and focus all or efforts on 3 weeks time.
