They could go overseas and EJ could pick them under special dispensation

What will happen with all the league games against them this season regarding them still cheating? Will all teams be awarded eight points with Salarycens getting none which would relegate them anyway.

Just to put it out there, I’m so so so glad that that Sarries are having the book thrown at them. They’ve cheated, proclaimed innocence, not accepted the punishment, then they finally accepted it. They deserve it. I include the management staff (McCall, Sanderson etc) and the players. The fact they haven’t had the finger pointed at them bemuses me slightly. They are just as guilty as Wray.

However what does makes me sad though is, whilst it has been unbalanced, we could be losing our only real London rivals from over the last decade and it was one of, if not the, fixtures I looked for first when the fixtures are announced. Our games normally brought the best out of the whole club, players and supporters. It will be a shame to lose that. Hopefully Irish will stock around and when can create that edge again now they are back on Brentford from next year.

I certainly won’t miss the club, but I will miss the fixtures

They will be back the following season, no salary cap in the Championship

I wonder how the league as a whole would deal with a fire sale of Saracens players.  Few clubs have room under the cap for any Saracens player this season - injury cover only?  For next season, do a lot of non-Saracens players find themselves out of a job as a result of what Saracens have done for the other clubs to accommodate the fire sale?

Simple - relegate Saracens and then increase the cap.

Just read Sarries board on this topic. A lot of support from other clubs for their fans and most Sarries posters accepting relegation but some additional nuggets in there from other sources. Apparently Sarries missed a deadline which was part of the verdict where they were to show books for this year and another snippet that they were £1.3 m over cap last year

The Times reporting this morning that they’re on course to be over £1m over the cap this year unless they can shed players. Also stating that none of the other clubs feel overly inclined to help buyout contracts.

If clubs are already paying up to the cap, like us and prob a few others, then it is impossible to take any Sarries player. If they are available next season then a lot of players in other league clubs may well find their contracts not being renewed because of the fire sale as they all abandon ship

Also hear that while Sarries were BSing about the accounting 'misunderstanding' with the co-investments, the other clubs were reading the judgment which, by all accounts, is extremely ugly reading for Sarries.

I can't agree with that, it makes no sense. This is all on Wray. What's amazing is that it took employing the services of a global powerhouse in financial/business consulting to convince him that he's the bad egg in the whole sorry saga and that he should naff off and take his arrogance and lack of integrity with him.

This sudden glut of players will only demonstrate the artificial inflation of player wages that Sarries have caused by their lack of adherence to the cap. This will have negatively impacted all the other clubs in terms of what they can afford.

I wonder if Jones will be on the times rugby Podcast to defend Saracens. Saracens - the saviour of English rugby - seem to have no defence and will go down if the rumours are true but I do not understand what is happening as Jones said Saracens players would play for far below market value just to put on a Saracens shirt. Has Wray built and then destroyed a club?

I disagree. Wray was the instigator but I cannot believe players like Farrell did not think he was doing something wrong taking Wrays dodgy 'investment' money.

Farrell, and other players, could think all they liked, but unless they knew all the details of every players' contract, and had access to a calculator, then that's all they could do - think.
