Surprised the article considers Barnet Council a potential backer. I thought too many Councils had their fingers burnt in the past. Coventry got into all sorts of problems transferring the Ricoh to Wasps.

Lucky we have a salary cap to limit Nigel's losses.

I think 2 major factors are that they don't own Allianz Park (The council owns it) so they don't have a revenue stream such as we do on non-game days, and they are limited to only 10k capacity even when they are there. That could be why they've gone for such eye-watering price increases for their STs. Their prices for top whack are £1130!

I agree but of course both were well known facts before they moved there.

You get basically the same as we have in our Membership packages. The only real extra is a 25% discount on knockout games. Here's their page showing the layout. It certainly makes our prices look positively cheap! If you go direct debit in the most expensive seats, it actually hits £1200

A good chance of seeing your team win the premiership!

Nigel Wray with his hand in his pocket, it is the only way they can survive with the current setup.  They need a larger ground more people with bums on seats and to be prudent with their spending.   Currently the ground is not big enough, not getting the fans through the door (those prices can't help) and as for prudence, she appears to be absent!

I think while they were two rich men's playthings, then Barnet looked OK - although as Nemoquins says they were never going to make any money. Now Rupert has up and gone, I can't see what is going to attract the next investor. Yes, a chance to get your name linked with the prem champions, but if the shareholders have to pick between that and dividends...
