Sarries in disguise - shirt teaser
« on: Monday 02-Jul-2018, 10:31* »
Anyone else perturbed by the club’s teaser and new twitter pic? If that’s our away shirt and it’s got stripes....looks like a Sarries kit.

If it means we start playing like Sarries when away, I could almost live with it. Almost.

The Ladies have also tweeted one

https://twitter.com/harlequinswomen?lang=en

I am guessing one is the away shirt and one is the Big Game shirt, unless............The home kit has the faint coloured lines breaking up the main colour in each of the quarters??

Good spot FF

Not sure about either but, I tend to think that most shirts look better in the flesh anyway

I would have liked to see what the away one looked like with quarters (Green and black).  Seems a bit more subdued than previous away shirts.  I think there could be some negative feeling about the home shirt, might be wrong

Anyone else not really bothered? Quarters. Tick. Move along.

Although I wasn't aware I was susceptible to seizures until I saw the home kit. Might check in with my doc - thanks Quins for helping me catch this early.

I like the idea of the green/black alternate shirt. These colours have largely been lost from the home shirt (just the little bit on the end of the shirt sleeve).
Not sure if I like the home one or not.
Now interested to know if we will have odd socks gain this season.

At least we are back to quarters and I don't have to wear shorts to make them quarters.

I think any suggestion there shouldn’t be a lot of people hating the home shirt is a bit off the mark.

It’s got black lines all over it.

That’s not our shirt. It’s not a bad shirt - but it’s not a Quins shirt.

It’s a Quins shirt with black lines all over it.

The quartered shirt is just about bearable...but is the usual adidas guff, and the black lines distort the colours and quarters, as well as being utterly unnecessary. That green and black thing? If I put my honest opinion in, the filters would blank it out. It's absolutely vile, and vilely un-quartered. Whoever designed that is clearly unwell, and whoever approved it should be dismissed immediately. Why the polystyrene ceiling tile look?? Horrible.

Doesn't the away kit have to adhere to some rule saying it has to be predominantly white?
So will the green shirt be training kit like last seasons orange shirt.

That used to be the case, but hasn't been for the last few seasons. Last year we had the mainly red shirt, Saints had the fluorescent green thing, etc...

The training kit is gray. So could be Big Game / third shirt, but no mention of Harlequins Foundation on it, so doubt it. I woulsdn;t mind the away shirt if it didn't have the tiling effect on. Home shirt is pretty uninpriring but at the same time inoffensive

The shirts are not yet officially released. Please refrain from posting pictures/links to them until then.

Thanks.

They look disgusting from what I saw. NEC shirt again for me, or the 150th retro. There's always the red/blue quartered Household Cavalry one too I suppose.
