Signed a 3 year contract with Wuss a year ago .

Training with Hougaard will have improved his skillset , so lets see what he brings , Gustard seems confident , so no reason to doubt his ability .

Could be that Care is almost back but Mulchrone and Saunders injured, Waters with Jersey leaves us only Lewis and an almost fit Care.

Danny mentioned on the Rugby Union Weekly podcast this week that he expected to be back for this weekend v Gloucester. I suspect as honkytonk mentions it's added precaution with Mulchrone out for a period of time, albeit an unknown period currenty.

Danny said in the lounge he expected to be back for Glos as well, but I guess it does not give us much wiggle room. Presumably Baldwin won’t play against Worcester!

Where is Waters? According to the Jersey website he returned to London for family reasons at the end of December.

Assume Waters is off at the end of the season then if he's not being recalled. Shame, I thought he looked promising but presumably Gustard is not a fan.

Never heard of this chap but hopefully he'll be a useful stop gap.

I'm not sure if he'll still be needed by the time we face wuss in the 1/4 final, but presumably they wouldn't let him play.

The same thought crossed my mind.

Probably me being really stupid, but... enlighten me anyway?

They obviously don't think he's ready if they don't recall him. The fact that he's only played 4 games, all off the bench, in the last 3 seasons is a good indicator.

Maybe that is how Gussy feels but Waters is definitely at the age where he should be making matchday 23s now and I guess I'm just not sure how you can truly know if a player is "ready" or not until you give them a chance...

His Father was diagnosed with Cancer about a year ago ( I recall they did a family head shave to support him ) perhaps that is why he's back and rugby isn't his priority at the moment .

Sad news for him and his family. My best wishes to them all.

I believe Callum Waters and Henry Cheeseman recently put out a new gin called Blue Thorn Gin, with a proportion of sales going towards two charities; Cancer Research UK and the Seb Adeniran-Olule Charitible Fund.

Website is bluethorngin.co.uk for more info.

Discovered this a couple of months ago on Callum’s Instagram page. Just putting it out there incase anyone’s interested and also maybe gives a slightly clearer indication as to one of a few reasons why he wanted to come back from Jersey early.
