Snyman

Irish media saying he will be signing for Munster. How did we miss him? Still think he is the type of player we need amongst the forwards.

Probably down to cash I expect.  They are also signing De Allande

Disappointing. We need a player like Snyman, he is a dominant alpha second row. We have b+ players.

Lewies has not really pulled up any trees this year. young looks like a young gangley Charlie Matthews.

Let's hop Lewies improves and the the Fifians can add a bit more bulk and dynamism to our pack.

Considering we have 5 locks (Freeman, Symons, Cavubatu, Young and Lewies) plus Lamb, Hammond and Tizard, I would be surprised if we made another signing. On a side note, Tizard looks a good prospect.  Been playing well for Scottish on DR and tipped for an U20 call this season.

Would agree it will be cash.

Not sure Lewies has been bad just maybe people expect more.  I don’t think he’s done a great deal wrong.

Was looking up Irish club finances earlier when I was debating these transfers with them. Munster have lost €1m each of the past 2 seasons and owe the IRFU €9.4m. This is no less bending/breaking of the rules than what Saracens are being accused of.

Agree to an extent but none are in the same class as Synman which is all too usual in Quins recruimeet.  Agree with Tizard but Sarries do not win everything with kids who have potential they win by having the real deal (albeit perhaps by breaking the cap).

Lewies has been quite good from what I've seen so far. Not much depth at lock though.

Agree with that, I was meaning that until we lose one or two, I could not see another Lock coming in

I believe Freeman is on a 1-year deal? I might be wrong but it felt, when it was announced, that the same might have been true about Cavubati? If that's true then that might free up the cap space required to shuffle the deck and bring in a marquee lock like Snyman. I hoped Fiss had it right on this occasion that we were looking to bring him over at the start of next season instead.

Very few locks in the world are in the class of Snyman. Those that are tend to command big money.
