I’m not sure I have much to add that hasn’t already been said?

Leadership is sorely lacking. When Horwill is not playing, there are very few who will step up to lead, which is a real concern considering our last three captains are often present on the pitch.

Sure Mike Brown will shout an berate his team mates, but I’m talking about a motivator and an organiser which we don’t really have. Robshaw is the obvious choice to take on that role, but these days I rarely see him do so. Even if he does, we don’t have an equivalent in the backs.

I think attitude has a massive part to play in defence and right now that bear looks like Gentle Ben. We’re disorganised, too passive and lack aggression. Hopefully Gustard can sort out the organisation but commitment and aggression need to come from the team on the pitch.

Sale will be a big game. They are an ambitious team, but probably competing for top 6 rather than top 4. We should be aspiring to beat them at home. A win would be a huge boost and, rightly or wrongly, a loss would set a bad tone.
