I was very glad to see his thumbs up sign as he was carried off and I hope he has no long term problems after his injury.

But...

Can anyone explain to me why he wasn’t yellow carded for taking Morris out dangerously in the air?

I think the most likely explanation is rubbish officiating, based on the rest of the match.

Yes, we were wondering that all game where I sat. I think judging by the replays you could say TC was standing still and AM jumped into him. Not a lot of intent there, so only a penalty?

Thing is, from the kick-off you can hear CM-K warn him to stay back. Curry then eases off for a few metres then speeds up again & runs into Morris as he's in the air. I think it's only the fact that he's injured that stops a card being given for taking a player out in the air.

Yes I think he got let off for getting himself broken. It looked like a card from where I was sitting! Glad it was nothing too bad.

What happens if he was yellow carded? Would it just mean that his replacement would come on ten minutes later?

Yes

Assuming that TC took the whole 13 minutes for HIA, that would give replacement 3 minutes. Or they could immediately have substituted him (based on obvious KO) and replacement joins 10 minutes later.

Ref stated no yellow as just bad timing. I think that was code for he got broken so no further punishment, if bad timing and no injury that would have been yellow.

Yes i heard the "bad timing" statement from the referee. If your timing is so bad however that the opposition players knee hits your head, then I would have thought that was just reckless/careless rather than bad timing?

Maxwell Keys said 'its just a timing issue'  , which could apply to many penalties I suppose -

I think if Aaron Morris had been injured it might have been a different thought process ,having looked back at it a few times I think it  should have been at least yellow , and possibly red .

Doubt CMK fancied bending over the stretcher with a card in his hand

Most important thing is the young flanker is OK , pleased to see him give a thumbs up , I hope he makes a swift recovery .
