It doesn't surprise me that other supporters are moving away from the old SN site. It stagnated from a technical standpoint a number of years ago, and the constant need to create new "stories" in the off season to stop the board getting locked was stupid. I'm happy to stay here as it's settled into a reasonable new forum .

Good afternoon folks.

I have been talking to main guy up at sportnetwork and he tells me the admins have been working with sportnetwork and there is going to be a revamp of the whole network not just the forums.

He believes that this will provide a new impetus for the whole network.

Remember SN provide complete websits for supporters not just a forum/message board.

From the Sportnetwork Harlequins message board. So maybe all will be sweetness and light, who knows? I have certainly never regretted our move here. It was done for all the right reasons. Of course if anyone does have a particular feature they'd like to see, I can bounce it off the admins here - they do respond in a timely fashion, which never happened on the SN board.

And I see no advantage in the "not just a forum/message board", what do they do on SN that we don't have here? We have articles, reports, helpful information (I hope) as well as the message board. We provide the same information, just in a slightly different way.

Yeah who cares, it was rubbish and if you’re still posting there you must enjoy your own company.

Yup, this is much better. ViewFromThe22 looks good too though - let's see who moves over...

Feeling on the new Sale board is that anything from SN now is likely to be far too little, far too late. View From the 22 is taking root and seems to be as welcome a change as this board was after SN.

Only issue for me is I have to switch between two sites!

Actually if anyone else fancies a bit of despotism and power beyond belief, I could do with any volunteers for another admin. PM me if interested.

On the issue of switching between sites, use a password manager and the whole thing is pretty seamless. Most browsers either have them built in or as add ins these days.

How about getting the "like" buttons to work on the mobile site? Been asked for almost since we’ve been on here.

I will go into battle once more for you! However, on my mobile, I still use the full site (this view) as it's what I'm used to and has all the functionality. However I will ask.

Yeah the Sale admin got bored of the security issues, posting articles and just the lack of development on the site. Seeing as I already had VFT22 set up I just offered him to use that and it's snowballed from there really.

Looks like the site is growing nicely which is good considering it's the off season and I've links the Quins section through to here.

That's very kind of you, DOK!

I can use the full site on my phone but prefer the mobile one. Probably my age/eyes. :)
