As head coach of the most successful club in European Rugby Challenge Cup history, Harlequins’ Mark Mapletoft is looking forward to renewing the English side’s acquaintance with the competition in 2018/19

I'd rather he had been cleared out too after the general lack of coaching apparent last season!

I'd rather have spent insufficient time in the Challenge Cup to be the "most successful club"

While it's frustrating not being in the main cup, at least with this one I feel we have a chance of making some decent progress and having a shot at winning it. Obviously I'd rather see us winnin the proper win, for me winning this is better than scrabbinling round in the group stages of the other one. I know that's not a view shared by all

Don't get me wrong, it's not like we win so many trophies we can afford to be sniffy about it, but it is very much an also ran cup.

I'd rather win this cup than continue to be cannon fodder in the bigger cup.

We were out of our league last season in the big boys cup, so we are at a level this season we can compete. Just would prefer some coaching changes based on such dire performance last season as it wasn't all down to JK.

Quite, my feelings exactly.
