Marcus turned 20 yesterday and has already played 47 games for Quins... time to put a tenner on Browny's club record being broken? (And another one on Marler getting there first!)

Everyone is very optimistic about tomorrow. Fair enough. But it was only a few weeks ago we played Wus away and in my view played a rather dim sort of game and lost. We had loads of possession and chose to run into an utterly committed brick wall of a defence all game. No variety, no grubber kicks to turn the defence and put them under pressure. I got the impression that was a watershed moment for our coaches. When we went on to beat Exeter at home there was so much more variation to our attack, with Danny and Browny kicking balls in behind the defence.

I recall last year sitting in the stands and people moaning when we kicked away possession. There is nothing wrong with kicking away possession as long as it is done intelligently, when we are on the front foot and with a good kick chase. I'm a big fan of it! And of course since then England have shown us how it should be done. I think Wus will know we will not be a one-trick pony tomorrow. The question is how well they deal with it.

Yeah not sure all those things are actually logically connected.

Gustard has been trying to get us to play a certain way, and it now appears to have clicked. Even when we aren’t doing so well you can see the method.

It clicked fully against Chiefs and has stuck,

Last season’s kicking was nothing like this season. We were in total crisis and abysmal. Smith’s kicking out of hand was dreadful as was Care’s box kicking. We didn’t pursue any kicks and routinely kicked to no-man’s land,

That’s no longer true.

And finally on the England thing - can’t see it catching on at club level. Week in week out it’s just not sustainable as a tactic compared to a few tests with highly specifc prep.

That's a he'll of a good team from Quins. Very excited about tomorrow and very optimistic. Wuss are no mugs but I expect us to beat them at home.

I did say that Wallace wouldn't make the 23 when the Premiership returned.

Great 23.  Should be aiming for 10 points from the next two games.

You predicted Wallace was behind Clifford, Robshaw, Dombrandt and Chisholm? I'll be honest, I've seen bolder predictions.

Let's just hope Danny can go the full 80 or we're well ahead when he comes off...

Agreed. Still baffles me why Saunders hasn’t been given much Premiership opportunity this season, this would have been the perfect opportunity for both game time and game development all the while giving Saunders more confidence. I know he’s still young but he’s electric and would be a much better impact bench player than Lewis or Mulchrone IMO. Let’s hope he gets his chance soon

Isn’t he on loan?

I did say that Callum waters wouldn't be starting today.

Looking good so far with 3 converted tries inside 20 minutes! 80 or so minute game though! What a spot and pick up by Brown for the 3rd try!
