Surely then he'd be under "not considered" though. I think Gussy has just picked Taps over him for this game tbh...
Whats everyones views on Lang v Smith?
I always get killed in the pub as I prefer Smith as I feel a lot more confident of his kicking between the posts, where as my pre match/post match pub friends say Lang is the better all round player.
Agree that Saili not starting would not normally be a great thing. But when I see Taps at 12 I'm suddenly absolutely fine with it. Even though, on paper, I too think Saili is the more talented player overall.
The major difference for me this season is Gussy's player management - rotating the squad, keeping everyone at as close to 100% as they can possibly be. The guy is a true squad manager - something we haven't really had since Deano left (not that we needed it in 2011/12 of course).
The funny thing about 2011-2012 is that while most of us would agree on the preferred starting XV for that season (Brown; Williams, Lowe, Turner-Hall, Monye; Evans, Care; Marler, Gray, Johnston, Kohn, Robson, Fa'asavalu, Robshaw, Easter), the number of times that it took the field that season was surprisingly low...
We started with that lineup precisely once. In the final itself.
14 out of that 15 started in a handful of matches, but there were also times when we were down to bare bones. At one point during the RWC we had something like 13 players out with their countries or with injury, and we were playing a back row of York, Wallace and Robshaw for several weeks.
We didn't need it, because it happened for us anyway - we had to rotate players but fortunately the injuries fell in areas we had good cover.

Looks an amazing team when all or most are fit. I dont want to get ahead of myself but if everyone stays fit here on in then a top 4 finish is on. I can see us in the final.

I agree! That line up looks superb! While I would prefer Saili to Tapuai, Benny is quality himself! So we are really strong in the centre, no matter the names.
As I have said a few times, if the mentality is right then we can do amazing things. The skills are there, the fitness is there and the belief is there too. Well done Gussy, well done boys. Good luck tomorrow!

In previous years we wouldn;t be up for a game against Wuss as the players tended to only get up for the games against Sarries, Tigers, etc, but I reckon that's been sorted now under Gustard.
I must admit I don't know that much about Wuss' squad this year so not sure of tgeir strengths, but at home I'm confident of the win
That is a good Worcs side on paper. This will not be a pushover by any stretch
