We're going to get mullered!
Is it even worth turning up to watch our kids get thumped by French rugby aristocracy?

I am looking forward to this.
I think we are going to get a pasting.
But, watching a high quality French team play can be amazing.  If I am given an opportunity to do so, then I will certainly go for it.

Yes I think so. It's a good opportunity to see the players/team show some real dog in the face of adversity. Mind you, they may just as easily play like wombats and show cacky discipline and effort!

I am a bit surprised that Lamb is in ahead of Kunatani

I really don't understand this selection - Lamb is a 2nd Row/No.8 but picked at Blindside ahead of Kunutani ? Semi has impressed me every time he's played this season. What has he done to upset Gustard ?

This is one situation where I'm happy to see our better players not playing. That team is being sent out to die; may as well protect some of the fit players in tricky positions.

That was my thinking as well. Although, if that is the mindset (which does make sense, to be fair) I would have thought Marler might be rested too, giving some game time to Auterac or Botta. Especially as Joe will probably be off with England for a couple of months. Not that I don't want him to play! I am always happier when Marler is on the pitch!

Might sound harsh but play Marler and if he gets injured its Englands loss not Quins, we would still have the others.  Play Auterac or Botta and they get busted, then we lose Marler aswell.

I agree. You don't pay guys like Marler big bucks only to hide him away.

They are a bit of a sacrificial offering really...
I can't see this being anything other than a pasting, my wife and kids are keen to go, but I'm not sure I can stomach it....  ::)

C'mon Rocker, if the wife and kids  an cope with it, you need to give some leadership and man up for it. Mind you I'm not overly confident that we won't get a thumping myself.

Best case scenario, we win, but really if they get their five points and we are within ten then I will take that

Maybe Joe has re-retired from England? If not, it could be that his game time has to be limited, so he's being saved for the league.

It makes sense to rest as many first choice as possible today. Firstly it avoids the risk of injury, secondly they can rest any niggles before the upcoming league games, and thirdly it gives valuable game time and runouts for players who are short on playing minutes. Additionally it helps to evaluate the younger players and try out different combinations.
