great looking team, come on Wardy get the arrow right. Real chance with that team

Get the arrow right "at the right time" is the important thing. Would be great to win the odd line out 5 metres out from Chiefs line.

It's simple -- we just need to not let them have the ball in our 22.

I’ve lost count of the times Ive looked at our team on paper and thought that’s a good team we have a chance only to have my hopes shattered the next day

Aside from Ward, it is indeed a great team on paper. Unfortunately, rugby is played on grass...

Nice to see Ibitoye starting.  Looking forward to a good game tomorrow, Exeter will certainly be a tough game.  Fingers crossed.

I'm not a betting man but I actually fancy us. I am a poker player though...

As quite a few have stated, this team could be special. I feel very positive about the players selected by our Gussy. I love Smith and Tapuai but there is no doubt that Lang and Saili deserve a start. Similarly, Crumpton has been a great signing but Wardy in the loose could be influential.

Taking a step back from the imminent game, it does appear that Gussy is creating a mood of purpose and intensity. Flats couldn't see it (as he stated on the highlights show on Monday) but I do believe it's there. It may be that we are not seen as a threat until this time next year, although I hope it is much sooner!

Anyway, well done Gussy and good luck to the boys! Can't wait for the game!

Sinckler returns to the front two

Well, no wonder we've been losing if we've only had two in the front row...!!  :o

I thought Lasike might feature for this one. Glad to see Semi's name on the list though.

Lasike has just played 4 USA Internationals on the trot , which is more than he has done in a while , probably lying down in a darkened room somewhere !

It's simple -- we just need to not let them have the ball in our 22.

And for that to happen we need to not give away needless penalties and win our own defensive lineouts and alas, that's what we've not been good at so far.

Ref v sympathetic to the Exeter cause there.

That's just nonsense.

Wow. Really angry I'm missing this. Could live to regret these missed kicks, tricky though they've been.
