Can baby Chis do what Lawday did in the first half last week? Yes and then some. Can Lawday do what baby Chis did in the second half/extra time? I don't think so. I'd have started Lawday. I appreciate any replacement can be viewed as a step down but for this game.......

Else that's a great side and I'm pleased they didn't blink and start Marchant on the wing. Northmore will get on and it may change then but it looks a great back line. Big Andre crashing through with Green/Lynagh/Marchant on his shoulder. Happy days.

Not sure the next 28 and a half hours can go quick enough.

Northmore is such a live wire when he comes on. Adds so much spark. The balance is good with the team, Northmore comes on at 13 and March slides out for Murley.

Very happy to see Andre back in the team. The guy is what we’ve cried out for since JTH retired. Harsh on Taps but it’s knock out rugby and we have to win.

Only preference to the team would have kept Chis on the bench, like Northmore he adds so much if the game isn’t going our way.

Murley is such a good player when on form and will defend doggedly against their back 3. Surprised they didn't start Hogg and move Nowell out to the wing. That back 3 battle will be immense.

Yes, I was expecting Marchant on the wing. At least Northmore can come on in the second half and hopefully capitalise on some tired players.

Best team we could put out. Excited, nervous, worried, proud.

I understand what some are saying about the Lawday vs Chisholm thing, in that Chis would probably have a much greater impact as a sub than Lawday would. However, he is clearly the better player, and so really should be starting. If we can't impose ourselves on them for the first half, then I don't think impact subs will be enough. I just can't see Exeter letting us get back into a game if we give them a healthy lead.

I really do think that the key to this game will be discipline. Don't give them easy field position, even if it means long defensive sets and no competing at the breakdown.

I love the fact that we are debating whether half of the bench should swap with the starters. When the weakest players in the XXIII are two longstanding Argentine internationals, it’s a good squad.

Mind you, Exeter’s is good too - the fact that even with their depleted back row resources they can afford to have Armond on the bench says quite a lot. I’m looking forward to seeing how Kenningham goes against Capstick - two very similar players in age and size who have broken through this year - and what Quins have to do to contain Sam Simmonds.

I also wonder what tactical tricks the coaches have up their sleeves. I doubt we will see a replay of the 2012 Final with Robshaw playing first receiver, for all that Kenningham has a similar knack of omnipresence, but I could imagine us having a few tricks to move the point of attack around and keep the defence on its toes.

As someone with limited knowledge compared to you guys.......
am happy Marchant is in the midfield and we bring a winger (Murley) in to play on the wing.
Its a stupidly strong team we are putting out, especially with Andre the Giant back.

It truely is now a case of "May the best team win" (apart from Chiefs missing players hehehe)
