Here is the run-in:

Quins 37 pts: Irish (a), Glos (a), Tigers (a)
Irish 29 pts: Quins (h), Worcs (h), Bears (h)
Worcs 27 pts: Bath (a), Irish (a), Sharks (a)
Tigers 24 pts: Wasps (a), Saints (h), Quins (h)

If we get 5 points from the LI game, then we have almost certainly nailed on 8th place.  Only Worcs could catch us on 42 points and if they did, then they would go into 8th.
However, I cant see Worcs beating Sharks away. I can't see Tigers beating Wasps away either.
I can't see us beating Glos away or Tigers away
So, I think that our focus should be on trying to beat Irish.  This is our best hope at guaranteeing 8th place.

Marler, Symons, Lasike and Ashton all added to the injury list. Hoping nothing serious for any of them.

I didn't see all of the Bath match but got the impression Marler was nursing a leg injury for a chunk of the match, which contributed to our scrum problems. Anyone else spot this?

We've got Wasps at home too, which is TBC. I am concerned about that, given they are playing well and gunning for top 4. I think we can beat an inconsistent Glaws and a young Tigers team to give us a better chance of 6th and a Tier 3 position in the European Cup.
Tomorrow is a must win, to be honest. We need to remove the Irish jinx!!!

Is there something wrong with this selection? Irish have two Ollies, one of them with the obligatory double-barrel, and we have none! What's happening in the world? I know 2020 is a bit strange, but still...

Ah yes - I missed the TBC games.

So -

Quins 37 pts: Irish (a), Glos (a), Tigers (a), Wasps (h)
Irish 29 pts: Quins (h), Worcs (h), Bears (h), Chiefs (a)
Worcs 27 pts: Bath (a), Irish (a), Sharks (a), Sarries (h)
Tigers 24 pts: Wasps (a), Saints (h), Quins (h),  Bears (a)

I doubt that LI will beat Chiefs or Worcs beat Sarries or Tigers beat Bears.
So, it is probably still down to us to beat Irish to secure to 8.

Quite a few 13s aren't all that quick. Henry Slade is a good example. Jack Goodhue. There's been a recent resurgance of the "playmaker 13" like those guys (Owen Farrell did it plenty for Sarries too).

I don't think that Lang is a bit of a slouch when it comes to pace.  I read before that he was one of the fastest in the squad, particularly over a longer distance. You saw on Saturday how he outpaced the cover defence very effectively by upping his pace.

I’d see Tigers away as a win for you guys. We made them look much better than they are at the weekend. Our lineout was predictable and we couldn’t take a restart yet still put 40+ on them and stopped them getting any league points.

Briz are beating Saints. Glaws are playing a weaker team against Exeter. We could/should finish this round in 6th above Saints and Glaws.

Yep - when Quins were warming up before the game he went down after a tackle (I think by Robshaw) and immediately pulled out of that activity to be looked at by a medic before limping back to the changing room while the team continued to warm up.

His left leg was already heavily strapped. So we were amazed to see him start the game, and even more surprised by the minutes he clocked up.

So it's not at all unexpected to now find him on the crocked list.

Yep. That sounds about right to me. Definitely still points up for grabs.

Hopefully we can finish strongly.
