Also, if you look at that side there are no real stand-outs for being captain in front of Sincks.

Looks like we’ve given up on this competition then.

Perhaps it’s just a way of keeping him calm and focused. Kyle is also the senior “Quins” player in that 15.

If we have given up on this competition already then it's a stupid decision. We nearly beat ulster away we can best them at homem we can beat bath away and who knows what could happen against clermont on home turf. Seems a ludicrous so early. Surely it's best to wait until week 5 when you normally know for certain if you have a chance or not

We spend all season trying to get into this competition and then rest our best players when we still have a chance of qualifying. What is the point, don't understand? I went to Belfast and we played so well. I was really looking forward to the return tomorrow.

In Kingston's last season he suffered from on average 28-29 plays unavailable for selection due to injury.  It became a lottery whether or not we had a decent team or the A-team.  My point being that there was an obvious division between First Team players and A team players and it showed.  Gussy has signed up to have a squad of players that all deserve selection for the First Team.  That can only happen if he remains true to that phylosophy of rotation and all the squad realise that he means it when he says he wants them to hold up their hands for First Team selection.
in essence its short term pain and long term gain.  All matches are important in this scenarion.

Quite. It's idiotic. Lose this game and play the reserves I he last 2. Wi it and were back in business.

Agree. I get that the Prem is the more important tournament of the two to us but this selection is bitterly disappointing. Gustard says "it's a must win game" but appoints a rookie captain and rotates out the spine of a team just finding some form. Really? All supporters, especially those that have travelled to Clermont and/or Ulster, deserve better.

Sure, much sense there, but Robshaw, Marler, Care and Smith rotated out?

So I'm losing an hours wages and driving 60 odd miles each way to see Quins play in the biggest club competition we can play in. And he picks this team.
Cheers Gussey!

Not overly impressed with selection but can sort of see why We’re doing what we’re doing given the next 2. Not got the luxury of resting half the team in the league like the provinces.

Let’s be honest the premiership is more important, if we’d had a win last week I dare say the selection may have been different, but away to pests the following week, we will need a good strong side for that, then Tigers BG then away to Sale

I don't mind that team. The only place I feel we're not putting our best foot forward is the half back pairing, (I would have added Laing, but he's been winning me over recently). I don't think Landajo has done well enough and to pair him with Herron in a match like this is a choice I'm surprised Gussie has made. Let's hope he's right. Evans, Semi and Dombrant is a nice back row with Baby Chris on the bench.

I seem to recall that players are limited as to how many minutes they can play, and it's even less for England players. Maybe this is a way to get them playing as many Prem minutes as possible? If we win, bring the big guns out for the other two games. If not, use it to give players a run out.

Pretty disgraceful selection.
