Had a very large portion of humble pie for breakfast about a few players. That Poledri is a hell of a player, stunning hand off on Dombrandt. For Italy, he's a younger Parisse and will have a great career. Don't think he'll be at Glaws too much longer. When Sarries come back up and start shopping as normal, maybe.

Great win, patchy performance but the will was there to try and compete and I'd be happy with that approach in every game. But for the lords sake, stop giving away so many basic penalties.

Exactly. I said last night that what I was most pleased with was the grit and determination shown. Its a cliche but maximum effort should be the minimum requirement, and against Wuss and the first half against LI we didn't see that.

Elsewhere I described Polledri as Gorgodze with more pace. He's ridiculously powerful.

Absolutely right.

I heard George Skivington say after the game that whilst accepting how badly Gloucester had played if they had held on to two or three passes it could have been a vastly different game and he was right. Now we need increase the skill level and application and combine it with the effort.

What Gustard referred to as after the game as "TNT" - Takes No Talent. He was saying that Dombrandt, on top of his usual clever lines, offloads and highlights reel stuff, had been doing the TNT stuff over the last few weeks, i.e. putting in the effort in defence and general hard work. The stuff which at teams like Exeter is a given - massive effort and commitment every game, fior the full 80
